It feels as though there are a million things we need to know about when it comes to raising a child...how do we know which ones to focus on and learn about? These 28 topics were carefully selected by a clinical psychologist and mom of four, to be important for a woman starting her journey as a mother.

An 8-week perinatal mental health video course that will deep dive into 28 hand- selected topics by Clinical Psychologist and mom of four. With over 5 hours of video content and 70+ pages of worksheets, journal prompts, and supplemental learning, you will feel prepared and protected going into motherhood.

Week 1

- Learn about the different ways to feed a baby and how each effects a mental health positively and negatively

- Understanding identity and why it's so important to maintain and how to hold on to parts of it

-Learn about the baby blues and postpartum depression and how to distinguish between the two. 

Week 3

-Discover the common ways relationships change in the postpartum period

-Learn about ways to maintain a strong relationship

-Discover why self-care is so important for a strong mental health and how to carve out time for it

-Learn all about Postpartum Anxiety and tips on how to prevent and get through symptoms

-Understand the symptoms and triggers of Postpartum OCD

-Discover all about Postpartum PTSD

Week 4

- Learn all about emotions. Why we have them, how to get through them, and how to feel comfortable expressing them

-A deep-dive into sleep and how it is connected to our mental health

-Tips on sleep hygiene to help you through the postpartum period

-Psychoeducation on Postpartum Anger and Rage and Postpartum Psychosis

Week 5

-Understand the importance of nutrition and foods and how it impacts our mental health

-Learn all about exercise and how it is linked to a healthy postpartum period mentally and physically

-Discover the common body changes that occur during pregnancy and postpartum

-Tips on creating a positive body image 

Week 6

-Understand the common dilemma of returning to work vs staying home with the baby. 

-Discover tips on how to transition back to work more smoothly

-Learn about the common struggles couples face related to intimacy and sex

-Tips on strategies to maintain closeness and intimacy during the postpartum period

-A deep-dive into therapy... what is it, how to find the best therapist for you, and some common modalities used in the postpartum period

Week 7

-A discussion on the importance of reflecting on your own childhood

-How your childhood impacts your parenthood

-Tips on how to heal your 'inner child'

-An overview of holistic modalities of treating perinatal disorders

-Learn about the common medications used in the postpartum period 

Week 8

- How humor and silliness is crucial to supporting a new mom and her mental health

-Tips on how to write your postpartum story and why it is so important to do so

-Learn all about intuition, how to channel your own, and why it is so helpful to do so in all parts of your parenting journey
